Arashiyama and Sagano is located in the west of Kyoto and very popular for travellers because there are many souvenir shops and restaurants. When I visited there, it was very crowded.
Sagano has its own atmosphere of silence and lonliness. In autumn, color of trees turn to red and yellow and it is very nice.
